2009 TOURNAMENT

The 36th Annual Pepsi Little People’s Golf Championships will be held at five golf courses in the Quincy, Illinois, and one in Macomb, IL USA area, on June 22-24, 2009. Pepsi Little People’s Golf Week is June 21-26, 2009.

The tournament in an International Junior competition and is open to boys and girls aged 3 through 21 (as of June 24, 2009) from all over the World.

Trophies are given for 1st through 5th and ties in all divisions for participants age 3-17. Participants aged 3 through 11 who do not receive a trophy each receive a participant award; participants 12 through 17 who finish 6th through 10th and ties receive a medal. Players in the 18-21 collegiate divisions receive gift certificates for the first five places.

A limited number of scholarships are available (see Scholarships).

Competition Golf Courses are: Knights of Columbus Par-3, Quincy, IL, (boys and girls 3-5 and 6-7); Westview Golf Course, Quincy, IL (boys 8-9, girls 10-11, boys 14-15, girls 14-15 and 16-17); River View Golf Club, Canton, MO, (boys 10-11); Arrowhead Heights Golf Course, Camp Point, IL (girls 8-9, boys and girls 12-13); Spring Lake Country Club, Quincy, IL (boys 16-17), and Harry Mussatto (WIU) Golf Course, Macomb, IL (Men and women, 18-21).

Schedule of events

Sunday, June 21 – Pepsi Parent-Child tournament (optional) – a 9-hole, alternate shot event at River View Golf Club, Canton, MO. Teams are made up of one 2009 Little People’s contestant and one adult, sibling or friend. Entry fee is $20 per team, and $15 for each additional team using the same adult. Cart fees are $12.

Monday, June 22 – Practice round (optional) for all participants at their competition course. Greens fee for one round included in entry fee.

Tuesday, June 23 – First competition round, all participants, all courses.

Family Celebration Picnic – free for all participants; nominal charge for non- participants. Picnic is at the Knights of Columbus facilities, which
includes indoor and outdoor seating, playground, driving range and par-3 golf course. All-you-can eat picnic, and a short program which includes awards and prizes for the Parent-Child tournament.

Wednesday, June 24 – Final competition round, all participants, all courses.

Prize Presentations – All Divisions, all courses

Thursday, June 25 – Pepsi International Mixed Team Scramble (optional) – a 9-hole Team event for players 5 through 17; parents may caddy for players.

Friday, June 26 – Pepsi International Mixed 3-2-1 Team Event (optional) – a 9-hole Team event for players 5 through 17; parents may caddy for players.
